Welcome to my website. Please take some time to browse around.
The site is still in the construction phase. From the 11th of April there will be new Flogs, Blogs or Vlogs every 4 days.

What are wetnotes?
Wetnotes are notebooks with waterproof paper that are used in water sports. It is standard equipment for technical divers. For example, they have noted tables and procedures in them. Or maps of caves and wrecks. Divers also use it to document caves and/or wrecks. As can be seen in the photo above. In case of emergency, they write messages on it for their fellow divers. They write with graphite. A pencil that is not surrounded by wood and therefore has a longer shelf life underwater.

Nowadays I use the wetnotes also to view the underwater world while snorkeling or diving. I can be amazed by many things there. I try to find answers to the questions that come to mind. Answering this question can take place in the water or later at home. While underwater I document my observations. This activity is also known as nature journaling.
Nature journaling has tens of thousands of active participants worldwide. I have written a separate blog about this phenomenon. You can find it here.

Why this website?
I want more people to appreciate the underwater world. The beauty of this large part of our planet deserves it. And the underwater world needs our support more than ever at this moment. Appreciating this value can be done very easily with nature journaling. But more about that later.

What do you need? Being able to float, with or without support from straps or other floating material. Being able to hold a pencil. A large part of humanity has both of these skills.
You will need the following materials: swimwear, diving goggles, snorkel, pencil and something like wet notes. These materials do not have to be expensive.
Your safety is of course paramount. But that is entirely your own responsibility.
In the Blogs, Flogs and Vlogs on this website I will take you by the hand so that you too can do this.
Please note: It can be addictive!

Oh yes, before I forget: who am I? It is only fair to introduce myself to you. I am Mandy. If you want to know more background, go to bio.
